Fulufjället National Park

The internationally known Swedish environmental protectionist Kai-Curry Lindahl visited Fulufjället in
1948. "The old forests, the waterfall and the mountain forms one of Dalarnas most admireable nature areas, which has few competitors in the whole of Sweden" he wrote in the context of his book Nature in Dalarna. Exactly 50 years later, Fulufjället was in the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency's National Park Plan for Sweden. In September of 2002 His Majesty the King Carl XVI Gustaf opened the park along with a couple of thousand visitors.
